Studio Next is a non-profit art organization founded by artists and connoisseurs to promote alternative contemporary art practice and a platform for alternative art education and cross-cultural understanding. It is an artist-run organization with Studio, Exhibition space, Projection room, local artisan accesses that supports the open exchange of ideas. This multi-dimensional cultural space is the newest addition to the location it is situated. We believe that when people from different parts of the world work together, they gain insights that bridge cultural divides and the sharing of ideas, skills, and experiences inspires actions and enables collaboration for good. Studio Next seeks to contribute to positive social change through collaborations between Indian and international artists, as well as galvanize greater community involvement in sustainable change. Our Exhibition, Workshops, and Artist-in-residence programs will be a part of the international cultural policy of STUDIO NEXT and in line with the ongoing dialogue and discourse globally in the past years. We at STUDIO NEXT would try to support the development of new talents, engage with local cultural communities, artisans, marginalized communities, and facilitate the diversity of cultural expressions. Studio Next will foster cultural mobility as we would involve in an international dimension. Studio Next will also engage its discourse in terms of local development, regional cultural infrastructure. We believe in global cultural cooperation to engage with the larger cultural community to mobilize cross-cultural activity and also South-South cooperation which is a manifestation of solidarity among peoples and countries of the South that contributes to their national well-being, their national and collective self-reliance, and the attainment of internationally agreed on development goals, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by UNESCO. Will follow the UNESCO recommendation, the South-South cooperation agenda, and South-South cooperation initiatives which must be determined by the countries of the South, guided by the principles of respect for national sovereignty, national ownership and independence, equality, non-conditionality, non-interference in domestic affairs, and mutual benefit. |
Main Activities |
Studio Next seeks to contribute to positive social change through collaborations between Indian and international artists, as well as galvanize greater community involvement in sustainable change…… Studio Next offers a creative dialogical space. A portal to rethink perceptions of culture, nature, and socio-political implication of art. Faced with serious environmental, social, political, and health challenges, we need to develop another understanding of the world and of the self. The current (visual) idiom is incited to develop a deeper understanding that includes postmodern narratives. We would work to bring the transformative power of art to the most impoverished communities around our ecosystem through participatory and multifaceted projects that preserve and support indigenous art and culture. |
