Mission<\/p>

A leading Palestinian performing arts network which strives to promote performing arts to influence cultural policies within the national and economic context, empower its members, protect the rights of the sector, increase society’s appreciation of performing arts, develop partnerships and coordinate efforts with relevant parties.<\/p>

Overall Objective
An effective performing arts network with needed resources and capacities to function efficiently and effectively to influence policies, increase community awareness, empower its members and deepen cooperation and co-ordination to meet the needs of the performing arts sector in Palestine.<\/p>

Specific Objectives
To contribute to capacity building of individuals and organizations in the field of performing arts;
To cooperate with and coordinate among the members of the Performing Arts Network and seek to protect their interests;
To impact cultural and art policies on the national level;
To encourage performing arts programs and activities and to raise awareness about the importance and the role of art in the community through joint programs aimed at building awareness and communications channels;
To promote networking and communication with local artists and regional and international networks.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

The Palestinian Performing Arts Network is the culmination of years of intense collaboration among fifteen Palestinian art institutions that perform in dance, music, circus and theatre.<\/p>

The Palestinian Performing Arts Network was established in 2015 as an umbrella framework for artistic institutions that play a collective role in promoting Palestinian cultural identity and the value of freedom of expression as a human need. These institutions have created accessibility to performing arts and continue to promote their work in all regions, especially those that are subject to political, social and economic marginalization.<\/p>

The network was born out of the combined experience and reality of these performing arts institutions in the field. There was a need to create an effective body that united these institutions; not only in coordination and follow-up, but in joint and collaborative areas of creativity.<\/p>

The Palestinian Performing Arts Network believes that achieving its objectives and attaining its vision must be through effective tools, resources and capacities. The most important of these are human resources, which are the main assets of the network’s members. Dancers, actors, musicians, playwriters, singers and circus performers constitute the essence and the core of the network.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>
